||Indoor Tanning Details
Understanding the tanning process is essential to everyone who wishes to achieve a good tan.
When the skin is exposed to UV (ultraviolet) light, it stimulates production of a pigment found in the body called melanin. When melanin is triggered, it rises to the epidermal layer of the skin, allowing the tanning process to begin. However, large amounts of amino acids, which are components of melanin, are not stored by our body, therefore it may take days after exposure to UV light to develop a tan.
Indoor tanning is preferable for a variety of reasons. The pursuit of “beauty” is today an undisputed aspect of every girl and guy’s lifestyle. Almost everyone knows the importance of looking good. Besides wanting to get a healthy-tan look, more people are also finding the experience enjoyable; time saving, controlled environment, comfort, privacy and most importantly - the result. Often times one would relate a well tan skin tone to healthy lifestyle. A healthy tan makes a person looks more lean and defined as opposed to fair skin. A healthy tan also makes colour coordination of outfit easier. Some people even visit tanning salon for health related reasons, for example, to get sufficient vitamin D, activate metabolism, stimulates the immune system and the production of hormones and skin related problem like eczema and psoriasis. We suggest that you consult your doctors before doing so.
In short, indoor tanning is one of the few forms of recreation that allows one to look good and feel good about their outward appearance. Indoor tanning is done moderately and gradually; tanning result is achieved through a couple of short tanning sessions and therefore extremely effective for people with sensitive and/or fairer skin. All the tanning equipment is designed to conform to regulations set by the United States ETL and FDA, as well as the European CE norms.
Our equipment is specially designed with a good controlled balance of UVA and UVB rays to bring you the BRONZ tan look. All tanning equipment is installed with an in-built timer to control the maximum safety exposure time approved by FDA.
Every piece of equipment comes with safety instructions, as well as sufficient cooling fans for the comfort of our clients.
Tanning without the use of a proper lotion is another factor causing skin damage. It is our responsibility to ensure that our clients do not get overexposed to UV rays or get a burn at all costs. We recommend you take a break of 48 to 72 hours between tanning sessions to allow the skin to create melanin and develop a tan.
Overexposure or repeated exposure is one of the main factors causing skin damage. Any salon that promotes or allows this practice is behaving irresponsibly and against the FDA and HSA regulations.
